One Day In The Middle Ages: Vyborg

The old city of Vyborg is located near Saint-Petersburg, therefore it was necessary to put it in our to-do list. The city was founded by Swedes in the 13th century and for its history hosted Swedish, Finnish, German and Russian inhabitants. The foreign spirit is everywhere: a large number of tourists from Finland, Finnish goods in shops and surviving architecture in the old town. We had luck with the weather again, so we went straight to the rivertrip on a leased boat.

And it is worth getting to the top of the Saint Olaf’s tower, where the whole city spreads out before you.

We haven’t seen a lot, because a few hours for such a city is definitely not enough. But if I have an opportunity to see Vyborg again, I won’t doubt a minute.

See you soon!
